The Person I Admire
I have a few friends whom I admire, the people who have been a source of inspiration into my life. They are people I look up to and count on for anything, but there’s this one friend whom I admire most. I never knew about leukemia, a cancer of the blood, until she was diagnosed with it five years ago (Nordqvis, 2017). She’s been my childhood friend, and our lives were normal, growing up in the same neighborhood, attending the same schools, being at the top of the class and being the best friends.
The first time she was admitted to the hospital I never knew it was something serious until the doctors announced that she needed to be there for some months. She is more of a sister to me, and this broke my heart. However, for all those days she spent in that hospital I visited her every weekend. The disease was taking away her life, but despite all that, she would smile and keep on talking every time I visited. Her words of encouragement kept me going, and over the time I realized that she needed something more than pity, I started supporting her and encouraging her that she would conquer.
She would assure me that we would push on with life, finish school; graduate together and get our career jobs even though she knew her chances of survival were minimal. During her stay at the hospital she changed so many lives of other patients, she would find the strength to encourage them and give them a reason to fight for their lives. She left that hospital full of hope that her life would change for the better.

Wait! person I admire. paper is just an example!

Even though she’s still on medication, she hopes that one day she will be able to live a normal life like before. What makes me admire her most is that she is so confident in herself more than anyone else. She accepted her condition, and she’s joined campaign programs to inspire and encourage those living with the same condition.
