Personal Impressions Based on the Movie Wall Street
After screening the movie Wall Street, it is evident that the financial world is complex. The movie, directed by Oliver Stone brings out the ills that have crippled the finance industry. From the movie, an understanding of economic knowledge is brought to the fore. By saying that Money does not sleep, a person studying finance can grasp its superhuman nature. Money works quicker than any human being and runs faster than the fastest animal on the planet from one corner of the globe to another.
People study hard during the day and at night because they have to attend the university and later, after graduating they secure a better job that can enable them to make money. This is and has constantly been the customary way of progressing in life. Many individuals take studying as a task that they must accomplish but they do not enjoy it. Making money is like the ultimate purpose of everyone’s life. Businessmen and women are willing to use extreme methods to make money. They cheat clients to get what they want. Nonetheless, they also suffer losses too.
It is not true to say that money is good or bad. If it is treated with the utmost respect it deserves, it will treat people with regard. If used in the wrong way or obtained through dubious means, it enslaves people (Germer 21). Some people lack clear mindsets when they see money, especially in large amounts. As a result, they end up breaking the law and are jailed or even sentenced to death.
