Types of Real Estates
Real estate is a building, property, and land. The term real estate is used to describe the physical or real property. The natural resources such as minerals, immovable properties, and crops on the land are also part of the real estate. Real estate is also used to refer to as producing, selling, and buying of real estates (Amadeo, 2018). Real estate affects an economy as they are critical drivers to the development of a country’s economic growth. There are various types of real estates which will be described below.
Types of Real Estates
The land real estate includes the working farms, ranches, and vacant lands. The vacant land can be further be categorized into undeveloped, site assembly, and reuse lands.
The commercial real estate comprises of the educational buildings, offices, hotels, shopping malls, and medical centers. The commercial real estate is intended to generate profit from either rental revenue or capital gains. Residential buildings such as apartments can be included in this category. The six types of commercial properties include a restaurant, office building, land, industrial, multifamily, and miscellaneous such as buildings for medical and hospitality (Brueggeman and Fisher, 2006).
Manufacturing buildings, warehouses, and properties are classified as industrial real estates. These buildings can be used for production, storage, distribution of goods, and research.

However, some of the buildings used to distribute products can be categorized as commercial real estates.
Resale homes and new constructions can classify as residential real estates. Residential real estate consist either single or multi-family structures used for non-business or industrial purposes (Miles et al., 2000). Major categories include apartments, a condominium; a complex that is similar to an apartment and owned by individuals, and cooperative dwellings owned by several shareholders. A duplex is also residential real estate with two units which have a shared wall.
