It is important to investigate this issue because it makes us know about the environment in which it develops being humited so that it can continually progress towards a better and stable future, since without equity there is no possible development, so it is very importantThat a society is equitable.

Faced with this situation, the methodology to be carried out will be a descriptive case study, whose importance lies to promote equity participation 

Background

On March 13, 2020, society took an unexpected turn when the propagation of COVID-19 was announced, which changed our areas of everyday life as in economic and social, this crisis exposes the need to face challenges asa global citizenship.

With this antecedent by the Ministry of Education, they have suspended all academic activities continuing their work from home, as citizens in our canton, province, and neighborhood have been presented to us great challenges such as the responsibility in following the fulfillment of assigned prevention measuresBy the Ministry of Health thus avoiding the spread of this virus that affects our entire canton, until this date at the end of April in the “Las Orquídeas” neighborhood, two positive cases of COVID-19 were announced.

After this, the municipality has not provided with food to the citadel "Las Orquídeas" due to the lack of participation without making known that there is a need, there is only what is the fumigation of the houses, it must be taken into account that participatingIn a company, making certain effects known to the municipality through the directive the conflicting problems can be solved.

In this case in the citadel it does not have much participation by some members because you only think of themselves this implies having problems during this emergency, instead it can be promoted with people who are willing to be part of this.

Definition of the problem

The fight against this pandemic gave a radical shock to global citizensociety allowing not all people to have access to opportunities giving way to a big problem in the community.

In accordance with the previous paragraph, it is essential to study this issue, considering that people’s equity is more fair and equitable when doing a collective work. In the same way in the present investigation, the following question is raised. How can a community be more equitable and participatory?

Through communication, there are many ways to speak and reach an equitable society, doing a collective work according to this to let a whole community what is being done, and develop an equitable participation model to create aCommunity organization listening to the opinions and ideas of all the people who are part of this group reaching decisions that allow achieving an objective that establishes changes in the environment.

The area that we are going to study, search or investigate will be on the measures to promote the processes of participation at present during these times of pandemic through citizens living in the “Las Orquídeas” citadel located in the Shell parish of the Mera canton.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE STUDY

The present study focuses on investigating the value of participating and observes the needs of a society in order to achieve participatory equity in the “Las Orquídeas” neighborhood in front of this pandemic, since at this time there is little citizen cooperation with respect to thisIt is proposed to present an investigation to citizens.

The benefits that would be obtained upon knowing about these foundations would be to have a better atmosphere, greater happiness, social welfare among our parents, neighbors, in short all our neighborhood would be those who would be favored from the result of the present case study.

Objectives

General objective

Identify the processes of participation in citizenship to strengthen more social equity that consists in participating generating opinions or ideas to conflicting issues for this reason these processes will be directed for the inhabitants of the “Las Orquídeas” citadel of the Canton Mera, Ecuador in the year2020.

Specific objectives

• Know the perspective opinions of those who live in the “Las Orquídeas” neighborhood whether or not to believe that there is equity within this society.
• Establish the importance of equitable participation processes for better the relationship between citizens thus being able to develop goals little by little.

Conceptual framework

Citizenship

According to this information, the word citizenship is the “condition of a person for whom it is valid as a member of a territory, nation and country that implies a series rights and duties” (Oxfam Intermón, S.F.), that is, it is the right to participate in a community to improve public welfare. Processes to promote equity

The proper processes to maintain equity helps a lot in the environment that people live in the field of resource, in distributsociety in which we support ourselves together.

Methodological framework

The present case study for this research will be carried out of a descriptive nature, as the Dr. Sampieri states defining descriptive research as “a set of systematic and empirical processes that applies to the study of a phenomenon” (Sampieri, 2016). The doctor states that this study will be detailed and the situations of facts of an event that have passed or previously in order to elaborate a good observation of analysis of the phenomenon happened will be detailed and specified.

It is convenient for the present study to maintain objectivity in this case investigation, demonstrating that not all people who are part of the citadel have some inconvenience or make it difficult to establish the consideration of promoting equity, and it is precisely that evidence of thisPopulation, however, it must be taken into account that it is not an easy or feasible way to obtain all the data of this population, for this a limited or small principle of research that is sampling will be carried out, it is defined as “the process of selecting aSet of individuals from a population in order to study it and be able to characterize the total population ”(Ochoa, 2015), according to this author to know that the sample is the selection of a small group of people in order to study certainconcerns, therefore it is important to choose how many people the data collection will apply.

The population of which the study information will be taken will be the “Las Orquídeas” citadel that has a population number of 200 people according to the figures provided by the National Institute of Census Statistics. Being a high number and due to the rules of staying in their homes, 7 people will be taken as a sample who will participate in the investigation for the case, made up of 4 women and 3 men of the most adjacent households that are close to my home.

Currently, for a data collection there is a variety of techniques and instruments that contribute in this case, although at this time the health emergency is established a series of structures to collect and analyze the computer data, for this case study those will be chosen,that I have an advantage to obtain the information from the closest sources.

To start extracting the fastest and most effective information within this framework, the survey technique will be applied, using the questionnaire instrument that will be intended for the population sample, carried out by Cellular through Facebook. Therefore it is substantial to make a good record organization to develop a good analysis of this information.

Results

Of the 5 surveys applied in the Citadel Las Orquídeas for this study, it is obtained as information through a survey consisting of 5 questions in relation to citizen participation in the first question. In its citadel, the participation of the inhabitants is promoted?, 57% indicate that if participation is promoted when they hold a meeting, they all participate aware of the situation or the reason that is carried out;while 43% indicate that participation is not promoted because there is no leadership in society.

In the following question 2 surveyed about. Have you participated in situations that contribute to the well -being of your family during the health emergency?, 71% indicate that if they have given participation for the well -being of their family such as staying at home, following coronavirus prevention measures, on the other hand 29% indicate that they have not contributed to the well -being of their family because they go to work forNot having financial difficulties and that brings consequences to their homes.

In question 3 what actions have the authorities and residents of the citadel perform to improve the quality of life during this emergency?, 14% were obtained that the authorities have provided the support of delivery of food kits to their families, 0% indicates the delivery of medical equipment, while 86% indicate that they have only made fumigations in the citadel, 0%Cleaning kits delivery, and 0%sensitization about COVID-19.

Regarding the result of question four, is it considered an active and equitable citizen in citizen emergency situations?, 86% indicate that if you consider an equitable citizen when an emergency occurs in any situation and 14% show that it is not considered equitable and active during this emergency because they have not had much time due to work.

Finally in the question, how has you participated in your citadel to help during the health emergency?, The result was that 0% taking care of children and older adults, 0% delivering food kits, while 100% points out "staying at home" because it is the most intelligent way to avoid contagion to COVID-19, thus powerBack to normal life and the other 0% indicates explaining the importance of using masks and gloves.

Analysis and conclusions

According to the results obtained above during this study of the study through the surveys carried out to the Las Orquídeas citadel, if citizen participation is little promoted through meetings to talk about the well -being of their families, thus being able to live a normal life as a normal life as a normal life asBefore, information was obtained that the authorities provided their help to few families in the delivery of food kits and that only more were in charge of fumigation of houses in the community, no cleaning kits were given, nor the awareness of any person about any personof COVID-19 .

A large part of the individuals of this company if they are considered assets and equitable in contributing to the prevention of diseases that occur in any emergency or at the moment, with their help and the directive for people who are not so participatory to theMoment of giving an opinion on some subject can know, identify about citizen participation processes and see that if this can be achieved in the citadel, thus being able to cooperate strengthening more equity in society.

The participation of people within this community so that this virus does not spread or extend the best option they had to take care, is staying at home avoiding having contact with the exterior with friends, neighbors, just being with the family
