According to Hicks (2018), the problem resolution process has six steps. First, there is problem identification where clarity of the problem is realized. Second, understanding the interest of the parties so that the solution that will be obtained serves the interests of all the parties. Third, enlisting potential solutions or options allows for creativity in problem resolution, and fourth, evaluating them will enable the parties to understand the advantage and disadvantage of each option. Fifth, there is the selection of the best option, and sixth, documentation of the agreements. Lastly, the parties agree on the contingencies coupled with evaluation and monitoring. Win/win outcomes re vital mainly because the solution best serves each party’s interests.
Question 2
The incident command system comprises of five functional areas, which are command operations, logistics, planning, and administration. Responding to emergencies incorporates all these functionalities, which implies that it is an integral part of the incident command as it includes planning on how to best respond to the emergency, the logistics involved in the response process, and how the solution will be administered so as to save any casualties.

There should be a mutual aid agreement in case of emergencies, which adequately allows for effective initial notification and how to respond to the various types of emergencies.

The responses to the emergencies between the mobile command and the incident command center should be prearranged and duly signed to enable the fast mobilization of resources in case of emergencies. The mobile command is availed to the scene of an emergency after it is reported to the command center. Adequate communication is essential between the two to allow for an effective emergency response.

TSA is involved with the screening of the passengers, which is done as a security measure to what is seen and unseen, which requires incorporation of technology, for example, X-rays. The screening entails carry-on baggage, such as electronics and food (TSA, n.d). The TSA also conducts checked baggage screening for claims, locks, monitoring, and inspection notice purposes (TSA, n.d). For international flights, TSA checks for hazardous materials, as well as overseas goods and foods. The organization also conducts a pat down for all passengers. These processes beef up security.
