Often, there are contrasting arguments on the potential of the sun rising tomorrow. Though either school of thought is endowed with its select logic, I believe that the sun will rise. First of all, it is worth noting that nature is full of relevant laws. These build a belief system in the certainty of certain events occurring as expected in a manner similar to those that have been observed (Hume, 1911). One of such is gravity. All over the world, it is believed that objects will always fall to the ground. If this is true for gravity, why discount the likelihood of the sun naturally rising as before? Again, the rotation of the earth is an event validated by science. This is a factor that is instrumental in the rising of the sun within a certain timeframe. Knowledge of the motion in the past gives rise to data that solidifies the likelihood of the sun rising tomorrow.
With inductive reasoning, the premises are essential in supporting the conclusions. This is the approach in explaining the phenomenon of the sun rising. In as much as a science has shown the reality of meteors, there is still significance in the fact that the sun has risen for more than a thousand years into history. With science, a lot of induction is applied in order to better explain different observations. With regards to this argument, history records that the sun rises every day from the east and sets in the west. Just as scientific theories hold true for all places and times, so is this proposition. With this argument, it has been observed that the occurrence in a significant number of times is enough to ensure the near certainty of a fresh occurrence.
