DownloadRELATIONSHIP OF MORALITY AND ETHICAL BEHAVIOR
For the realization of this essay, Immanuel Kant’s thought was taken into account in the face of ethics, which is related to the philosophy of knowledge and practice and the ideal of the supreme good or supreme world, same spoken in her book "Lessons ofethics ”where he speaks of good and evil according to the knowledge and behavior of the rational being.
Next to this, also, the ideals of the supreme good that were in the age of three schools will be taken into account. "The cynical ideal" of the Diogenes sect;"The Epicurero Ideal" of the Epicurus sect;and "the stoic ideal" of the Zeon sect.
What is ethics?
Ethics is a discipline of philosophy, the concept of this is to study good and evil, it is born from the reflection of human behavior in that it is good and what is bad. For anyone it is a mystery that ethics has a relationship with morality and behavior, it could be said that ethics is like a compass that only marks two paths, good or evil. Compass in which morals and behavior are oriented, also moral when it governs the behavior of a rational being. Ethics is of no use if man does not follow her as such.
Kant and the philosophy of ethics
For Kant, philosophy is divided into two, theoretical philosophy and practical philosophy:
The theoretical philosophy:
It is the rule of knowledge while practice is the rule of behavior. These depend on one with the other.
Wait! Relationship Of Morality And Ethical Behavior paper is just an example!
This, according to ethics, can be called that the theoretical philosophy is to know that it is right and that it is wrong, while philosophy is related to behavior.
What differentiates each of these philosophies is the object. Theoretical theory is theory and practice of praxis (a concept that is used in opposition to theory). In cases such as medicine, theoretical medicine and practical medicine;Mechanics, among others. The object is the same, both in theoretical philosophy and in practice. This also goes for ethics, the theoretical philosophy of ethics and practical philosophy of good or bad behavior. Both these philosophies have the same object, which is good and evil.
"Logic provides us with rules regarding the use of understanding and practical philosophy regarding the use of will" is implied as ethics is governed according to the rules of logic, knowing that it is right and that it is wrong, and as he says there, in practice disagree is governed by acting with will well or bad.
"Understanding and will are the two forces from which everything originates in our spirit"
Practical philosophy:
It is about the use of individual freedom. It contains objective rules of free behavior, for example an objective rule is what should happen without it happened, a subjective rule is what really happens. Who takes care of subjective practical rules is anthropology (observes behavior and determines whether or not it is effective behavior). Moral philosophy is responsible for objective rules. (what should happen if a good behavior is carried).
An objective rule of practice is expressed by an imperative means that is divided into three categories:
- Imperactive of the ability (they are problematic): "They state that with a similar rule a need for the will with respect to an arbitrary end is denoted"
- Kant speaks of the ideal of the supreme good as the most perfect world, perfect if every rational being is happy. Such happiness is only achieved with the dignity, dignity that is granted when it is known as differentiating the right with the unfair. The one who does not know how to differentiate the just from the unfair is not worthy of that happiness.
- Kant and the supreme good “two elements of the supreme good are: the physical good and moral good, well -being and good behavior."
