Research on university dropout

In university dropout we find several models such as early dropout, this is when the person in the selection process is admitted but for unknown reasons is not enrolled, another is early dropout, when the person is admitted, it enrolls but enroll For unknown causes he abandons his university studies in the first semesters and finally we have the late dropout that is when the individual leaves his studies by ending the career, that is, in the last semesters. Our research to put it in this way was based on early dropout since our population exhibition was carried out at the University of Cundinamarca to be more exact first to fifth semester of the Public Accounting Program.

Inquiring this issue of university dropout we find several models for such study such as:

• Psychological model: model which is based on student personality,
• SOCIOLOGICAL MODEL: model that deals with the social and external life of the student.
• Economic Model: Model that studies the student’s economy.
• Organizational Model: This model depends on the organization that the student has in the institution for their good performance.
• Interaction model: model that is based on the acceptance that the student has with the institution.

Currently we also find cases of university dropout not only in face -to -face programs but also in virtual programs, according to studies a high drop -out rate is presented in distance or virtual education programs.

Here we also find different dropout categories since there are students who enroll in the programs but do not participate; Second are the people who retire after a certain time, third, are the students who participate but do not meet all the tasks, which disable them to present the final exams; And finally there are students who fulfill and participate fulfilling their tasks, but they reprove courses.

Given the research, the scourges of the University of Cundinamarca could be evidence Colombia is going through a problem in the area of ​​education due perhaps, to the lack of information that exists on this subject.

For this reason the research wishes to inform the University of Cundinamarca about the possible crisis of dropout by students of the campus especially in the Public Accounting Program of the Fusagasugá headquarters .
