Safety Policies for Indoor and Outdoor Environments as Tools for Risk Prevention, Protection, and Promotion
High quality environments are essential for prevention of injury and other associated risks to all individuals. On the same note, teachers should know all the potential hazards that are present exist in both indoor and outdoor environments. The identification of such hazards is thus necessary for the development of policies and checklists that promote safe practices in the surroundings that are inhabited by the children (Robertson 47). The safety policies that may take the form of checklists, guidelines, injury reports, and recommended practices are essential tools for risk prevention, protection and promotion since such guidelines often the essential strategies that can be used to avoid hazards. Furthermore, the safety policies are necessary for establishing a process for handling hazards in both the indoor and outdoor environments as well as assigning responsibilities while offering guidance for action in the risk prevention. The policies are essential tools since they are often created with a well-defined course of action of what should be done in handling particular hazards in the environments. As tools, the policies also offer knowledge of the risks and how the hazards can be prevented (Brussoni et al 3134). Furthermore, an understanding is provided through the implementation of such policies so that safety can be promoted through regular practices such as the creation of awareness of the potential harms that may arise from a particular environment.

Wait! Safety Policies paper is just an example!

The application of safety policies as tools for risk prevention, protection and promotion also requires that the guidelines are clearly written and are based on the good standards towards injury prevention in the respective environments (Zamani, Calder, and Cohen 4). The tools can also be useful in the provision of the safety rules that govern how people and especially children interact in an environment to eliminate the associated risks.
