Challenges Youth Adults Face Today
Introduction
Young adults face numerous encounters in a quest to maintain a particular lifestyle, have successful lives or just to fit into peer groups
Some of the challenges may become disastrous hence the need of society to intervene
Joblessness, drug abuse, and peer pressure are some of the leading challenges faced by the youth.
Joblessness
It is caused by reluctance to try out new business ideas (Hanson, 2011)
One is afraid of failure hence cannot venture into a new business that is not in the market already
May also be as a result of poor government policies.
High reliance on import goods
Peer pressure
Threats among peers to try out things one may not be very comfortable with just to ‘fit in’ (Hanson, 2011)
One may feel obliged to try out a particular hairstyle just because his friends have that type of hairstyle
Drug misuse
This is mostly as a result of peer pressure.
One may venture into the world of drugs because his friends are using the drugs
Ignorance of the effects of a drug may be a cause of drug abuse.
One may use drugs oblivious to their effects on health and otherwise
ConclusionIn summary, cases of joblessness, peer pressure, and drug abuse are the leading challenges faced by young adults today
A considerable percentage of youths are tarmacking throughout the country in search of jobs. There is an increase in peer pressure that encourages immoral behaviors. The lack of something significant to do and exposure to peer pressure has resulted in the case of drug abuse among the youths
Youths throughout the country are experiencing some challenges which require urgent action.
