Q1. Psychosocial treatments used with the people with Schizophrenia
Cognitive behavioral therapy- involves the therapists talking with the patient to help the patient manage their thoughts and behavior. The procedure is necessary since people diagnosed with Schizophrenia often have the thoughts that are not realistic which require the help of the cognitive behavioral therapist (Bateson, Jackson, Haley, & Weakland, 1956).
Disease education-The approach of psychosocial treatment tends to inform people about the facts concerning the schizophrenia and the treatment involved. With the information on schizophrenia, patients can take care of themselves and be able to effectively cope up with the disease.
Social skills training- this involves the teachings given to patients as a single person or in groups which involves some certain behaviors that facilitate the social interactions. Thus it promotes the social interaction among people with schizophrenia (Bateson, Jackson, Haley, & Weakland, 1956).
Psychosocial rehabilitation- focuses on the vocational and social training. The involved people acquire the required skills to help them to live in the community and efficiently interacting with others.

Negative Symptoms- used to indicate that there is absence or the decrease in the normal functioning. They often come early before positive symptoms and hard to be detected. The example involves loosing of interests in some activities
Disorganized Symptoms- form part of positive symptoms that make it difficult for a person to have clear thinking and the responses that are appropriate. An example includes shifting from one topic to the other.
Q.3
I firmly believe that psychosocial factors significantly play a role in the development and the maintenance of Schizophrenia. This is because most of the psychotic symptoms portrayed by the patients with this disease are mental. It means that their brains have been shaped by the daily encounters with parents, strangers, spouses, and others.
