Sensory Stimuli
The human body responses to stimuli on a daily basis; different people, also respond differently to stimuli based on a person’s state of health. My routine is not different than that of anyone else. However, we might differ in the way we respond to various stimuli in our environment on a daily basis. For instance, not a day goes without me watching an episode or two of a movie. Nevertheless, I need not stare at the screen for so long as it affects my view of things once I get out of the room. However, I could switch from TV to listening to music once in a while, but with a moderate amount of volume. Although, some situations could force me to turn it much lower/higher to enhance my concentration or distract myself from the outside noises. I also take a walk once in a while, or if the weather does not allow, I walk up and down a fleet of stairs for some exercise.
Sensory Profile
The processing of stimuli entails, reception of the sensory stimuli, modulation, and integration as well as the organization and coordination of the stimuli. Other than the expected responses, one could have control over their responses to the sensory stimuli. Additionally, one could have a different degree of responses to different situations that lead to the classification of people’s responses into four categories.
In Low registration, I scored 25/75, a score associated with how most people respond to stimuli. This shows that sometimes I am slow to respond to stimulus in my environment.

Wait! Sensory Profile Coursework Example paper is just an example!

E.g., sometimes I get bruises and only realize them later. Whereas, my score in sensation seeking was a bit lower than that of most individuals, having recorded a score of 40/75. This is an indication of my risk averseness more so in sensory responses. Rarely, will I subject myself to situations that will elicit a sensory response or trigger more stimuli, e.g., I always like planning my daily activities.
A Sensation Avoiding person has a low neurological intensity, hence, require low-magnitude of stimuli to respond to sensory stimuli. They avoid occasions that could trigger any sensory stimuli. My results recorded quite a higher score than that of most people (59/75), which speaks to my avoidance of situations that could trigger sensory stimuli. However, by learning the appropriate responsive mechanisms, I could adjust the figure to a lower level, which is at least as most people respond. For example, I tend to stay away from crowds, or situations where unexpected things could happen.
A person with sensory sensitivity, on the other hand, will have a low neurological intensity yet also experience a passive self-controlled reaction to the stimuli. The person often experiences an aggressive reaction towards stimuli that other people might consider mild or moderate. My results were however positive indicating a similar response to most people (39/75). E.g., I find it hard to concrete the entire time in a long class or meeting.

Adults who did not receive occupation therapy to understand their responses might have a lot of trouble adapting to new environment. However, the therapy might prove quite useful before letting them into the world to explore.
Nonetheless, adolescents and adults who have learned their responses through therapy might find it hard to transition from one environment to the next, say from high school to college or college to work. A booster therapy before taking the step will hence play a great role.
A home remedy that is applicable at any time is the salt therapy; it has proven quite effective in hyperactive conditions and treatment of other neurological disorders. Therefore, any parent could learn how to apply it to their kid efficiently.
Dietary alterations might also prove useful, hence speak to a doctor to guide you on how to go about offering the appropriate diet.
In many occasions, people with sensory disorders are isolated and grow in fear of even interacting with people as they perceive themselves as different and further everyone else in their surrounding sees them as such. However, educating and sensitizing the society on how to treat them will help them adapt better to a societal setting.
