Abstract
With new businesses, technology usually comes to the rescue, making things easier. Technology has significantly revolutionized daily routines, but one thing that it has evolved beyond recognition is the way we work (Ramey, 2012). In the modern world, it’s almost impossible to function without computers. The society has become more dependent on technology to undertake various roles in business environments. The rapid evolution of technology continues to affect our personal and professional lives, considering the diverse and complex social networks. There is a need to embrace technology and make the most out of it. For instance, we can use technology to improve the services we deliver to clients by enabling them to provide feedback on products, services, and suggestions on what can be improved. The paper will discuss how information and information technology have changed my personal and professional life daily life. It will also discuss how I may apply these technologies as a business manager.

Information and information technology have changed my life, both personally and professionally. Considering my personal life, technology such as the internet has made it easier to check my bank statements at my convenience, to shop online and to get in touch with relatives and friends who are in different countries via Skype.

There are various things that I wouldn’t have managed considering my work schedule. Information technology has changed the way I book my holidays or even the way I listen to my favorite music.
Considering my professional work, information technology has made it possible to automate much of the work. It has made the work cheaper compared to when the same work is done manually on a piece of paper. For instance, using the organization’s information system, I can be able to analyze and retrieve key financial information just in just some few clicks away. Doing this manually would require hiring a financial expert and would also take more time. The World Wide Web and the Internet have made it possible to have a broader reach globally (LaMarco, 2018). It has been a crucial part in our marketing campaign, enabling the business to attract different customers across the globe.
As a business manager information technology would be my priority in increasing my effectiveness at work and in business. I would use IT to automate numerous processes to improve productivity and efficiency. It would lead to improved speed and enable the organization to use fewer resources which translates into low costs. It will also make it possible to serve more customers. I would also apply technology such as Skype and Internet of things to work away from my office at times. Communication is usually a key part of businesses. Information technology will make it much easier for various business operations.
