The Bible stories give numerous examples of leaders who served God and led other Christians into His ways. For instance, Nehemiah was acknowledged as a great leader and Slave to Christ because he used his leadership position to build both the walls and the spiritual faiths of the people. Therefore he portrays the role of a true Christian leader through having faith in God and His will to confront impossible difficulties and lead the church, nations, families, and people of God. When Christians depend on God, they always call for His guidance in difficult situations, celebrate and glorify His name and have steadfast faith in God. Christians are regarded as the temple of God; meaning that God resides in us and therefore we should conform to ways that invite God in our lives, in our activities and build a strong relationship with God. There is a sense of unknown peace, confidence, and certainty when a leader puts all his/her faith and trust in God.
Romans 6: 14 illustrates that sin will be master over the humans because humans are not under the law but under the grace of God. This is a promise made to us by God. God warns the humans against presenting themselves as slaves to sin and instruments of unrighteousness. Christians should present themselves to God as those who have risen from the dead and their bodies as an instrument of God. In this case, God wants us to be dedicated and committed to fulfilling His will. Humans can do so only by fully dedicating their lives to God for eternity. This means that we should not seek to accomplish worldly desires but the spiritual needs. In this way, Christians will begin to view things in God’s perspectives and understand our purpose on earth. People are born with different gifts that are the gift to lead, to sing, and to preach. All the gifts are given to us by God to know Him, serve Him, love Him and dedicate ourselves to Him only. MacArthur’s illustrates that if humans learn from the Biblical truths and seek sovereignty of God, we will understand our true responsibilities in a manner that God is decisive and ultimate. In this way, Christians learn will learn to understand the choices of the Christian life. Corinthians 5:7 and Philippians 2: 12 illustrates that Christians will not choose to let sin take control of their bodies because God is working in them and thus He will not let any form of taint enslave us. This verse demonstrates that God is with us in all times and when we dedicate and commit ourselves to God we allow Him to lead us, protect us, and build a strong shield that enables us to stand firm and in faith in all circumstances.
