From my SmarterMeasure results, I have discovered I have not been utilizing my time well in my daily routines. I spend a lot of time surfing on the internet and social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat among others. Though I should have enough time for my school work, I find myself spending more of that time social networking. According to SmartMeasure solutions, I could solve this by organizing time for studying strictly. My strategy involves allocating each unit on specified time for studying assigned text, doing homework, and time for test preparation. SmartMeasure resources recommend total study time to six to nine hours per week (“Assessment Overview”).
Low typing speed ability also takes a lot of time for me when doing school work. My average typing speed is 21-25 words per minute with an accuracy of 75%. Slow typing speed causes late assignment submission and a lot of syntax errors. This can affect my overall performance in the course. I sought solutions in the Learn2type website. It has been a resourceful site with a step to step instructions on how to improve my typing speed as well as improve on accuracy to avoid errors.
Although I use the internet frequently, my technical competency is quite low. My computer skills such as accessing different formats of files are below par. I need to expand my knowledge of different software for different file formats. Some aspects of accessing scholarly materials online are also new to me.

I take a lot of time learning to access course materials and assignment. SmartMeasure resources recommend sites that have been helpful in learning important scholarly sites such as google scholar, Wake Tech libraries and learning presentation software’s (“Assessment Overview”). All these solutions have been instrumental in improving my coursework. I plan to keep on track in practicing the habits to save more time and improve my academic performance.
