Introduction and Preferred Perspective
My name is Frank Chaplain. I am thirty-one years old, and I come from Brooklyn from New York, where I grew up since mid-childhood. I grew up wanting to be a doctor, and I am glad that the turn of events in my life did not prevent me from pursuing the career of my dream. I am currently working as a behavioral health technician in a hospital, and I am more than glad that I ended up in the hospital setting, even though not as a doctor as I had initially envisioned.
I have come to love my job, for I still get to offer assistance to those who need it. I work searching group of people, who have behavioral problems. Such groups include patients with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and victims of both physical and emotional violence as well as those who abuse drugs. I am always glad that I spend each day of my life saving or improving others life. As a behavioral health technician, sometimes, my services mean rescuing one from suicidal thoughts, so that the duties need me to have excellent communication and persuasion skills.
Concerning my work and the kind of people that I mostly interact with, the sociological theory that makes the most sense to me is the behavioral theory. This theory basically is based on the notion that humans acquire certain behaviors as a result of conditioning, which results from one’s interaction with the environment around them (Kitayama & Cohen, 2010).

Wait! Sociological Perspective paper is just an example!

This perspective is mostly applicable to understanding the behaviors of my clients while at work, for instance, the perpetrators as well as the victims of physical abuse and those who abuse drugs. The perspective helps me develop an understanding, and to develop a focal point from which I can assess the right approach or strategy to take to the recovery or rehabilitation of each client.
