Introduction

This work was written by Sophocles, who was one of the greatest writers of tragic theater in ancient Greece. Due to his distinguished literature, he was a very loved and respected character by the Athenians. He was born in Colono (496-405) is considered the work of Oedipus Rey as one of the distinctive and neat of the Greek tragedy;since this is where it reaches its greatest professional climax due to the tragic outcome of the work . In a wealthy family a child was born, who is called Oedipus, son of Layo and Yocasta, Reyes Detebas.  They decide to consult the Oracle of Delphi;since at that time it was considered a supreme law that predicts the fate of people;And, who tells them that they will have a son, who will kill his father and will marry his mother and will have offspring, necessary reason to order a servant who murders the child, the servant not being able to fulfill that cruel order takesThe decision to abandon the infant on Mount Citerón. One day, Oedipus decides to go to the oracle of Delphi and that is where he discovers the horrible design, which is why he decides to leave Corinth without realizing that he was getting closer to his infamous final.
