Stoicism is the belief of determinism, and the approach attempts to use reason over emotions. As such, the Stoics could only change their attitude towards events in their life. The aspect made life simpler by mitigating sufferings and worry over uncontrollable things in life. Stoics believed that many things in life were bound to happen and that there is nothing they can do to control them.
