Stress is the behavioral, physiological and psychological response by a person in case equilibrium cannot be perceived between the needs lacked and the capability to meet those needs. Stress, therefore, results to ill-health upon which various techniques of stress management are advised. Among the multiple techniques include exercising, eating healthy, meditation, and Yoga (Stress Management).
Moreover, spirituality adds to a more useful way and less physical techniques of relieving stress. Therefore, spirituality and stress management have a connection. The connection comes about as spirituality helps individuals in coming up with a purpose of life that is clearer, enhancement of stress management skills and lastly building of personal relationships that are better.
With spiritual beliefs, one can be able to quickly identify the stress through meditation, religious observance, prayer, music, nature, art and personal beliefs in powers that are higher. After identification, it becomes easier for one to manage the stress through personal connection and connection with others. Establishing the essence of life as described in the biblical scriptures helps also managing stress. Therefore a connection with spirituality arises when a person decides to have a lot of reliance on God and high powers, thereby surrendering troubles and worries instead of tightly holding onto them.
From my perspective, I think engaging in physical activities like exercises, games, and hobbies can be important in managing stress.

It is vital for my health as it helps in pumping endorphins which are neurotransmitters that help the brain to feel good (Stress Management). Exercises such as swimming also help the brain in forgetting irritations and enhancing the concentration of particular activity. Lastly, physical activities help to improve the mood by boosting self-confidence hence lowering anxiety and mild depression symptoms. Various strategies can help to create a balance between health and stress in our fast-paced society. First, consultation with the doctor is essential in cases where there are health concerns, and perhaps one has not trained for a while (Stress Management). Secondly, when starting exercise, it’s preferably better to work out in a controllable pace that may not tire someone quickly. Lastly, sticking with doing activities that I love is the best option to increase the level of fitness and decrease the level of stress.
