Suicide is described as: the act of voluntarily removing life

According to Gardey and Pérez (2008), suicide is described as "the act of voluntarily removing life", this definition may sound atrocious for most of the population but, the truth is that, it happens. Suicide has been studied at the sociological and psychological level, however, what is questioned is: Is there a way in which it can be prevented? The answer is yes, the sociology of suicide has been responsible for establishing certain characteristics in common, which can effectively help establish a preventive method for suicide.

While it is true, the psychological state of each person is unique and that is why we cannot ensure that all commit suicide for the same exact causes, but there are certain social factors, which are decisive in the lives of all individuals. That is why when talking about a preventive method for suicide the best way to form it is based on their sociological studies. "In part, the cause of the imbalance can come from a neurophysiological malfunction, but it is me to understand that it can also come from other added causes such as personal relationship problems or lack of adaptation in learning.".

Although perspectives are different between sociology and psychology, it is importantTo us, that is, it is through our conversation that we are creating our tribes and of course our own culture ”. Since they are born until they die, human beings develop within a social environment from which they learn and make up their culture, therefore, it is inevitable that those around us influence our behavior.

However, seen from sociology, the suicide does not have a specific cause for which it is caused in all cases, however Durkheim (1892) raised a classification of suicides according to certain social conditions of the individual, from which there are4 types of suicide in its first classification:

Altruistic suicide 

It has as a cause of importance by itself. Durkheim (1892) proposes an example among Celtic peoples, in this culture the suicide of the elderly was honorable, especially when they were unable to fend for themselves to obtain resources. On the other hand, it emphasizes that the places where the population is committed suicide more (selfish suicide), who are part of the army commit suicide less, and the same thing happens contrary as a proportion.

Selfish suicide 

This occurs when social relations between people become too fragile to achieve a suicidal commitment to their own life. Being absent the pressure and subjection of society, the suicide finds a free path that allows him to carry out his will to commit suicide. When being fully involved in his individualistic role as a result of his desingbook of the world, he completely loses his identification as the social being that is.

Anomic suicide

This suicide is carried out in the places where social groups are in anomia state, this term is described as time when social ties weaken and society loses its strength to integrate and regulate individuals. Fatalistic suicide 

This type of suicide is not common in your society, however it categorizes it since it recognizes that it exists. This category refers to the moment in which society oppresses the individual so much that the only escape method that finds is suicide. Suicide is applied to all cases that end in death how direct or indirect result of an act both positive or negative of the victim, which is aware that this result produces.

After specifying the types of suicide according to Durkheim, it is totally necessary.

In 2017, a ‘suicide game’ quickly went viral. The challenge of the ‘blue whale’, aimed at teenagers, established 50 tasks to perform in 50 days. The challenge was allegedly linked with numerous deaths worldwide. However, nothing about the game is what it seems. The first tasks he raised were relatively harmless: getting up at the middle of the night, or watching a horror movie. But, day by day, the proposals were becoming more sinister: ‘Stop on the edge of a cliff’. ‘Trip a blue whale on your arm’ The last challenge? Make the user commit suicide " 

In the appointment named there is a famous game that prompted suicide through suggestion and was a trend of years ago. These suicides could be classified as those of a fatalistic type taking into account that, through this game, who proposed the challenges was responsible for isolating the victim, doing not feel part of the others. On the other hand in this type of games, it also convinces the players with threats, which is why suicide decides.

What has been described above is a faithful proof that the suicides currently not only conform to one of the typologies established according to Durkheim’s socialism, however, apart from this classification, the author names the main reasons for suicide in general, seeing the suicide group as a social phenomenon that has its own characteristics. That is why it can be prevented through the use of studies at the sociological level that allow us to recognize these common characteristics for the respective psychological treatment required.
