Precisely, smartphones, tablets and mobile applications are being used in the healthcare workplace to provide information for clinicians within fingertips reach. The devices and applications allow physicians to interact with patients via a communication platform such that clarification or report can get obtained or delivered at a distance (Ekblaw, Azaria, Halamka & Lippman, 2016). The use of social media in healthcare workplace is of paramount value to reach medical information to broad patients through platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. Other basics of using media technology are assessing the readiness of hospitals, establishing directions and monitoring analytic reports to determine how the presence of hospital is received.
Remarkable use of information technology can get revealed in patient data management. Initially, hospitals used to be tied up with paper charts which could easily get lost or destroyed. With modern techniques in the workplace, healthcare providers can track records securely and efficiently, append pharmacy data, conduct x-rays and exchange patient information. An interdisciplinary of nursing informatics has been established to link the practice of nursing with Information technology management and thus converges science to meet vital data.

When the patient technology gets integrated into the healthcare industry, it results in improved care delivery, for instance, the use of text massaging programs. Such an improvement employs the use of mobile services to reach patient population by leveraging cell phone and texting as part of everyday life technology. In that way, pregnant women, aged and skin problem individuals can get reached easily.
Healthcare workers are required to observe clinical policies and regulation such as health insurance portability and accountability act (Ekblaw, Azaria, Halamka & Lippman, 2016,). The use smartphone to share patients is prone to violate federal laws, and thus health professionals are required to avoid exchanging protected health information. A single information breach can potentially compromise many patient’s data, facilitating vulnerability to medical identity theft. Therefore, health workers are required to follow clinical rules including how they utilize technical devices. Strong passwords are set with multiple layers of authentication and an ethical approach to protecting information.
