William Barret was the Texas commander at the Alamo battle and died at the age of 26 years while defending Alamo. He had come from Alabama five years in 1831 whereby he left behind the failed career as well as marriage (Lopez 176). He came to love the land of Texas, which gave him the new life and the early death. William clashed with the Anahuac authorities when he arrived in Texas in which he feuded over the antislavery laws of the Mexico. He was jailed for two months, which earned him a reputation as the troublemaker, yet he proceeded to develop the successful practice of law.
Davey Crockett was also referred as the frontiersman, congressman, folk hero, and even the Alamo defender. He was born to the pioneer family in 1786, residing in Nolichucky River in the east of Tennessee. The family adopted the western patterns of settlement by moving thrice when David was 12 years old (Cantrell 76). David continued with the westward movement as a young man together with his personal family. He then settled in the great northwest Tennessee. David was enlisted in Tennessee militia following the massacre by the Creek warriors of occupants of the Fort Mims in the southwest Alabama.
Sam Houston was born in the Virginia in 1793 where he became the lawyer, a congressman, and even the senator in the Tennessee. He moved to Texas in 1832 in which he joined the conflict between the US settlers and the Mexican government. He also became the commander of the local army.

Houston together with his men conquered the Antonio Lopez of the Mexican General to secure the independence of the Texas. The political culture of Texas is clearly described by a combination of three key philosophical streams, which include classical liberalism, populism, and social conservatism. Conversely, the American political culture has various core values and ideals. All the Americans do not share similar views, but vast majority subscribe to the universal ideals, which include equality, unity, liberty, diversity, democracy, and even individualism (Calvert, Arnoldo & Gregg 109). The current topic defined by the political culture of both Texas and American is the liberty. In this case, Americans set the liberty as freedom for the individuals to do as per their wish. They also believe that liberty is critical to the fulfillment and the happiness of a person. On the other hand, Texas feel in the classical liberalism, which places fundamental political values on the legislative classifications that permit for fullest exercise of the personal liberty as far as rights of other people are not restricted unreasonably.
The fighters for the independence might influence the political culture of the Texas based on the philosophical stream of populism. The populism checks on the well-being of the ordinary individuals (Calvert, Arnoldo & Gregg 132). It also emphasizes on the popular will as chief virtue of the political position. Conversely, the independence fighters interfered with this concept since the Texas people were contented with the slavery issues opposed by the fighters of the Texas Independence. Stephen
I was surprised to find interesting information concerning Sam Houston. Houston with the individuals he led conquered the Antonio Lopez of the Mexican General to secure the independence of the Texas. Thus, he had fame for playing the role to bring Texas into the US as the constituent state. One can apply the personality responsibility of Davey Crockett before coming to Texas since he had obeyed the parents by following their lead in living Western pattern. He managed his family and settled with them.
