The big problem of violence against women throughout history

Violence against women has been one of the most suffering problems throughout history. Now today, we see that it still remains in force, even more so if we refer to Peru; How Peruvian women are attacked either the husband or the couple itself, who damages both physical and psychological integrity.

According to studies, 85% of women are mistreatment, sexually abused and complemented by man’s macho behavior, since they feel “superior than women”, this causes many women not to have enough value to denounce them, and they are feel unprotected and threatened by man’s macho behavior. This forces the woman to prefer to be quiet and remain a victim of abuse.

To this is added another survey conducted that throws a percentage, where they say that 15% of women are killed by excessive abuse of their partners, since women who experience violence and that are comprehensive, suffer from a variety of problems health and decreases its ability to participate in public life. The most common form of violence experienced by women worldwide is physical violence inflicted by an intimate couple, including beaten women, forced to have sexual or abused intercourse in some other way.

Violence in general occurs more frequently within the family and anywhere else in society. Likewise, it crosses all religious, educational and socio -economic ethnic lines and is a progressive situation that has been recognized as a great public health problem, Dra. (Aliaga, Ahumada, Maribe; 2017).

Violence against women according to WHO and collaborators, is classified as a global epidemic, because it affects more than a third of all women. It is estimated that conjugal and sexual violence are the ones that most prevail, being 35% of women who experience this type of violence throughout their lives, highlighting the need for countries to commit to eliminating the tolerance of the violence exercised Against women, since it has a strong impact on physical and mental health, ranging from injuries, fractures and blows, mental problems that can lead to death and even affect pregnancy and newborns. In the study carried out that due to the fear of stigma, prevents many women from denouncing violence and seeking medical attention and that despite this they do not reveal the causes of their injuries or problems (“Word of Woman”, Diario de los Andes, p. 32.2013).

Violence against women is present in most societies, but is often not recognized and is accepted as part of the established order. The information available on the scope of this violence from scientific studies is still scarce. Domestic violence against women at home is constant. Existing evidence indicates that their reach is much greater than what was supposed (Tovar, 2009).

Women who experience violence suffer from a variety of health problems and their ability to participate in public life is reduced. Violence against women affects families and communities of all generations and reinforces other types of violence prevailing in society (WHO; 2017).

Concepts, definitions and prevalence of violence towards women are analyzed, as well as consequences on the physical, psychological and sexual health of women, referring to social and economic costs and calling the medical community to the visibility of this problem (Yugueros, 1994).

Violence towards women is multidisciplinary from the academic point of view, since it affects several areas of the different sciences, so it is necessary, previously, a methodological framework, so as not to deviate from the area that is intended to study specifically , differentiating it from the so -called domestic violence, violence that women can suffer, and finally the ultimate cause of this structural violence carried out within relationships or ex -partner dr. (Yugueros, 2014).

Violence as a human tool of domination, power and control has existed since the beginning of history as a scourge based on patriarchal, sexist and sexist matters. This article analyzes the different definitions, characteristics and expressions of violence, as well as the different theories that explain it with the objective of differentiating gender violence with domestic and family violence and analyzing the characteristics of each of these for immersion In future Dr research lines. Throughout history, violence has been tolerated and stimulated as a way to resolve tensions and conflicts. Most women live with more intensity and suffer more violence. When a sexist language is used or recognized that does not name women, when they pay us less than men to perform the same functions, when we have to live with advertising messages that treat us as sexual objects, when we feel fear of walking alone. Violence against women is an expression of the relationship of inequality between men and women (Women’s Institute, 2014)

The most common form of violence experienced by women worldwide is physical violence inflicted by an intimate couple, including beaten women, forced to have sexual or abused intercourse in some other way. A WHO study in 11 countries determined that the percentage of women who have been subject to sexual violence by an intimate couple varies from 6 percent in Japan to 59 percent in Ethiopia. Various world surveys suggest that half of all women die of homicide are killed by their husband or current or previous couple (WHO, 2018).

We already know that violence is a very dangerous social phenomenon, knowing that dozens of people die from shots and blows, it is knowing that we must take care of ourselves. We must take into account that we must try to reduce violence.

The first step is to know how to control ourselves, know how to handle our negative impulses that do so much damage to us. Thus our society will go in an increase in peace and there will not be so many innocent shots and deaths.

Due to the rough affections that generate the internal of families, it endangers the structure or form of the same, that is, according to the formation that is given to the individual, it also acts within the society that surrounds it. It affects all family members.

Authentic education has as its purpose the integral development of the person; That is why it must provide, in addition to knowledge, values, beliefs and attitudes in the face of different situations.

Communication is prevention because it allows us to find a space, being protagonists, learning to respect the other; It enables the ability to accept the error as an incentive for the search for other valid alternatives and helps overcome the difficulties that arise.
