On the other hand, Ecuador is one of the countries that have invested the most in education issues assigning universities one percent of their gross domestic product (GDP) compared to the richest countries on the planet that allocate one point seven percent. That is why in the 2013 Global Competitiveness Index, prepared by the World Economic Forum, which Ecuador promoted 76 positions in education, turning Ecuador into the country with the greatest educational investment in the Latin America region.
Therefore, in the present work it is intended to identify the investment in the education that the National Government is carried out through the different educational public policies, the origin of the resources with which it makes the financing of the same and what is the percentage investedIn education, for which we will take into account three to variables: Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Investment in Education in relation to GDP and the total income of the country.

Developing
Ecuador seeks through its government policy to prioritize higher education since it is a fundamental axis in the development and growth of Ecuadorian society is also a tool that helps developing countries to raise the quality of life of its inhabitants. Therefore education is the mechanism by which a society can create, generate development and in turn boost the well -being of a society, education is powerful since it can help out of poverty, so we must take care that when we educateIndividuals, we do not damage their thoughts and we must boost critical thinking an open attitude. On the other, education in Ecuador in recent years wanted to take a path of modernization and transformation through accurate investment policies and make appropriate decisions on economic, social and productive issues have created an environment in Ecuador that allowedmake an important qualitative leap in the country’s education .
Likewise, higher education in Latin America has enormous complexity, between countries. Although the level of investment in science and technology in the region remains poor about both advanced countries and China, the three largest countries in the region (Argentina, Brazil and Mexico), and an outstanding group from intermediate countries (Cuba, Costa Rica and Chile) have managed to consolidate stable research programs and high -level academic postgraduate careers. The countries with less relative development, in contrast, present a profile that can be characterized as a vicious circle between the limited institutionality of scientific and technological research and high -level training, and the critical social and economic situation. Therefore what the State intends is to achieve quality education in the different institutions of higher education, with the purpose of getting the student to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities that activate and redirections the productive matrix and finished products are achieved that allowbe exported with added value outside.
Finally, when making a comparison of the investment of Ecuador in higher education in relation to GDP we find that in Latin America and the world is one of the countries that also invests Ecuador has an average investment with respect to the GDP of one point eight byone hundred compared to neighboring countries (Colombia, Argentina, Chile. Among other). Thus leaving Ecuador in the first place, being a country that invests the most in educational issues in the southern region of the American continent.
