This essay will talk about the validity of gender violence today with a focus on women. According to the definition of gender violence according to the UN in 1995: «Any act of sexist violence that has as possible or real physical, sexual or psychic damage, including threats, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of freedom, already whether it occurs in public or private life ». I think that gender violence is an issue that primarily affects Latin America, which could be dejected, however, there are forces that are carried away by the tradition and power of male sex. Next, it will be discussed on how despite cultural changes in society this bad behavior continues to be dragged through generations.
Historically, this has been happening as a pattern that is repeated again and again where the woman is the victim and the man the perpetrator, it has been proven that it has no biological disposition and according to Expósito or women are born victims or men are predetermined to act to act as aggressors. This has been attributed by stereotyped experiences of how each individual must behave since it has a social structure behind these atrocious acts through time. My opinion is that the female sex has always been considered as the lower sex, when for centuries it has been demonstrated, it can achieve things equal to man, however these acts of leadership in women have been covered by the stereotyped structures that only feed of power that acquires its sex, or gender.
Wait! The Validity Of Gender Violence Today With A Focus On Women paper is just an example!
Gender violence has been a constant for female sex, since during the time their rights have been persistently violated. This problem can be attributed to the lack of attention of governments to eradicate this problem. According to Resolution 45/114 of the United Nations General Assembly, ‘Household Violence’ Gender violence has become an obstacle to improving the condition of women and being able to achieve equity between genres without missing the respect each one. I think that women have been attributed a predetermined role where they are always under a role or decision made by someone else, thus thinking that it is tied to these roles and cannot participate in various acts as a good citizen or be human as if, since these rights are taken away by upper sex if it can be called like this.
The validity of gender violence is not only present in the intrafamily sphere but also in the workplace and public life in the outside world, urban life for a woman is complicated, it has to be careful where it is mobilized, if It is accompanied or not, and seeing some moment of precautionary prefers to change their schedules more frequently than men. Being able to move by buses or the streets with total tranquility has been something almost impossible to achieve in mostly Latin American nations, the patriarchal forces have disguised this, in a way for women to blame. Putting excuses like, "but look how you wear" "It is not the right time to leave for a girl" "should dress more covered" "that they will think of you with those clothes" public life for a girl or woman is difficult since the patriarchal system forces female sex to a subordination and at the same time accommodates the tastes and preferences of the male.
To conclude, gender violence is still in force, but with greater exposure of women in all aspects (social, labor, intrafamily), however the patriarchal powers have endured through the centuries with their dominant predominance before The female sex, so that the subordination of this "lower" sex continues under its power. As a possible solution for this social problem is to treat laws in an egalitarian way, to the same way as public spaces such as transportation, work spaces, educational spaces, parks and shopping centers. Treat that with the government, since it has been seen that what has been done has not been enough in recent decades, dialogue and reach an agreement so that laws are stricter against gender violence.
