Sacrifices behind being a soldier
Introduction
So many situations have forced many people to join the military in the United States. It is not because they desire to but due to the underlying circumstances that they face. Poverty, crime, and inability to continue with education are some of the reasons that many people have found themselves joining the forces. It is not because they want to save the world but only because they want to earn a living. The sacrifices that they make to allow them in the forces include being separated from the families and forgoing their education. With no place to go to, they resolve to be soldiers (Jones, 159). The primary intention is not to save the world. They just want to be back into their country U.S with full pockets. Their sacrifice is for their expectations to gain in the long run.
Supporting argument
On the downhill, most of the kids are from the middle class. The future tends to be so dim that they cannot see how they will make something out of them. They, therefore, sacrifice their freedom to join the military (Jones, 160). They do this not because they need to but because it is the only thing that appears to be promising. Most of the boys and girls from the poor immigrants recall that they had no option but only to join the military to save their families from poverty. Lack of opportunities to do anything shuns their dreams to become significant people in their country, and therefore, they resolve to the military.

Some are also forced to join the forces after receiving conduct waiver. The challenges that come with their situations pose them to become soldiers. It is through this that a nation has soldiers who don’t feel the need to save the country and the world. Most of them just join the military to protect their families or to save their lives.
Counterargument
There can never be denied that there are people who are influenced by the ambition to save the world. Some need to be great soldiers and protect their nation. Even though it seems that kids in the United States grow up with guns in their hands, there are those who wish to carry them to save the world (Jones, 161). However, as much as this may appear to be pure ambition, there is still the sacrifice that is made. Even the soldiers with the aspirations still miss their families. They still feel alienated from the people close to them and thus sacrifice still made to work at the military.
Conclusion
The mother of two kids whose younger son joined Marines with the notion of outdoing the elder brother admits that she is not aware how it happened to their kids. Nobody acknowledged that a kid at some point wanted to work at the military unless forced with circumstances. Poverty, crime, and inability to continue with education are the main reasons why one had to sacrifice all he or she had to become a soldier. Nobody wants to be a soldier unless forced into harsh situations. Indeed, everyone is a sacrificial soldier.
