Focus This model focuses on the young people clients’ continuity in relationships with others self-awareness, occupation issues, and future planning among other life issues. Life transitions are associated with re-formulation of personal goals and objectives, as well shifts in someone’s priorities.

Function According to this theory, a healthy individual is the one who can cope with all the difficulties that come along the developmental stages of human beings. The developmental stages may be social, physiological, psychological changes. Despite these changes, one should be able to maintain good relationships with other and maintain a usual way of life. This model is better since it assists young adults to establish their objectives and to prioritize the most critical life issues.
Disability
Disability is mal-adaptation into the changes that comes alongside developmental stages. Individuals with disabilities are not able to develop appropriate skills at that are related to their age or handle dilemmas, and conflicts associated with their respective maturity stage. The individuals who are not able to differentiate the effects that are caused by development and those are due to the health conditions.
Change The expected change in the therapy is a positive response towards the improvement of social relations of the victim and various individual they are close to him or her. He or she is expected to make right decisions according to his or her age.
Motivation Motivation is achieved through bringing to attention the essence of controlling the external forces that may lead the victims to make decisions astray. Awarding for well-behaved individuals encourages them to keep up, the sound conduct as well motivate others to catch up.
Evaluation Observations would be an efficient method of assessing the impact of the therapy and enquiring of the views from those close to the victim. Formulation and issuance of random tests would be appropriate in the form of interviews.
