Training at Keller-Globe
Keller-Globe’s approach to training
Keller-Globe’s approach to training is potentially effective, and it will play a significant role in the company’s training program for the six punch-press operators as well as their supervisor. Bill, the company’s training director, is fully aware of what encompasses an effective training program. He is personally deeply involved in this program, and he assures the supervisor that the workers will receive efficient training before using the new continuous-feed system and therefore their job will be in no way going to be harder. The company’s approach to training is quite effective since it involves all the stakeholders who are involved in the process. The training director involves the supervisor and the company that will supply the system while the supervisor involves her workers and advises them on the way forward.
It is as such evidence that training is a priority for the company’s top management as the training director confirms that the company is supporting this program in all ways. Moreover, the punch press operators will receive just-in-time training, one that will come before they stand to handle the new system and the supervisor will have the chance of training at a company that has an already operational system. It is therefore evident that Keller-Globe’s method to training holds great potential for the company and it will ensure that the press operators receive effective training on the new system.

How might the use of social media assist Lou in Training her employees?
Lou can use the social media in several ways to train her employees. For instance, during the training sessions that she will be undertaking in a firm that already uses this system, she can share some of the significant things she has learned through social media. They can open up a Whats App or Facebook group where she can share some of the things that she is learning while in the new company. Moreover, she can also take pictures of some of the system’s functioning and share it with her trainees on these groups or other social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter. Also, with the recent advancement in technology, she can record some of her live training sessions and share it with the trainees via any of these social media platforms. Therefore, Lou can use the several social media platforms to share information with her trainees and together they can hold discussions on the new system from these platforms regardless of the position of the supervisor or any of the employees. Moreover, they can also include the training director and other persons that they feel would play a significant role in the training.
