Weather Inquiry Project
Indiana has been my home since I was a child and after finishing my education am planning on relocating to Los Angeles. The warm sandy beaches of the city have attracted my interest in the regions considering Indiana is colder and as per the Köppen-Geiger classification is experiences the humid continental climate. It is characterized by cold winters of over 21 inches of snow per year unlike in California where snow is a rare occurrence unless in the mountainous parts inland. Los Angeles, on the other hand, experiences milder weather with warm temperatures all day attributed to the clear skies and sun in most of the year.
According to the Köppen-Geiger classification, the climate in Los Angeles is classified as Csa implying that the region has a Mediterranean climate. However, since the city is extensive and covers a large surface area there microclimates depending on which part of the city one resides (National Climatic Data Center n.p). The meteorological reports suggest that the location the location has mild winter and hot summers with rainfall mainly present during the former. I discovered that the region has average temperatures of approximately 18.2 °C. December is the coldest month with overnight temperatures of 48.3°F while August is the warmest and records daytime temperatures of about 84.8°F. The precipitation charts illustrate that the average rainfall falls at around 396 mm with February being the wettest month of the year.

Wait! Weather Inquiry Project paper is just an example!

Extreme weathers such as tornadoes are rare, but there have been incidences where storms have been reported to destroy homes and property.
Comparing the climates of Indian and That of Los Angeles, the meteorological data implies that my assumption of the regions’ weather was accurate. The hot and sunny summers will be my favorite part of the years because of the opportunity to visit the beaches. Furthermore, it will be an excellent opportunity to get away from the snow and heavy rainfall common in Indiana.
