What is Nature?
Hiking is one of my best hobbies, and I love doing it during my leisure time. The reason why I like hiking and going for a nature walk is that of the therapeutic benefits it brings with it. Going for nature walk helps me to relieve stress and depression, and it is because of these reasons I like spending my free time in the world of nature. In a broader sense, I can define nature regarding the natural world and the physical world or generally life. In this case, I would like to define nature as a natural environment which comprises of things like indigenous forests, waterfalls, mountains among others that have not been affected by natural activities.
Going for a nature walk in a natural environment like mountains and forests defines the connection I have with nature because it gives me serenity and peace of mind. The natural environment provides a serene ambiance that helps me to restore my “human nature”. Natural environment sets the podium for peace to prevail without being distracted by what is happening around me. In the city streets, I have to stay alert and attentive to what is happening around me. This makes me define the city as an artificial environment. Getting exposed to the natural environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life helps me to make maximum use of my human nature. The smell of fresh air, breathing naturally and being surrounded by trees make my body relax. This relaxation calms my body and enables me to use my mental energy in meditation, the natural environment also increases my attentiveness and restores my thinking capacity.

My definition of nature is thus based on the benefits I accrue from a natural environment as opposed to the artificial environment in the city like building and trains. Natural environment boosts my mental and physical health.
