Gender Equality is a state of acquiring equal ease in access to opportunities and resources regardless of gender. It includes decision-making and economic participation; as well as the condition of valuing various behaviors, needs equality and aspiration in spite of gender. Gender equality is also referred to as sexual equality. It is the equality that exists between both men and women. It involves the concept which states that all human beings have the freedom to make their choices and establish their abilities without any limitation that is set by strict gender role, stereotypes and prejudices. Basing on the issue of gender equality, the society has considered women to be the lesser gender for a long time. The question concerning women equality has been mostly debated topics for some years in the society. It started with the meaning of a man as well as a woman’s right, morality, and a woman’s responsibility in the society. According to the traditional ideas concerning the role of women and girls in the community, there is a restriction for them to contribute to essential development goals. For instance, in economic growth, education as well as food and nutrition security.
Breaches are seen in ethical behavior within women’s equality whereby there are sexual harassment and mistreatment taking place. Women long for the same treatment as men since they have equal right in workplaces as men. Some people misunderstand that with the right they are given they apply a harsh treatment that is treated as sexual discrimination or sexual harassment.
Wait! Women equality paper is just an example!
Many people don’t consider women as equal to men until today (Inglehart, 2003). The breach of ethical behavior can as well be seen where a few women take this right too far then try to push it down on everyone’s throat. Other women are displeased by this behavior since those that are not pushing the issue have an impression that those that push it down are making all women seem to be bad by making use of their right in an incorrect way. Some women are offended in the manner other women push their right. It is a big ethical breach that is within women’s right.
Deontology is a theory that studies moral obligation. This theory is used in evaluating ethics as well give people guidance on ethical consideration. Gender ethics in the society denies women economic rights, education, and also marital equality (Grey, 2009). The deontological theory explains how people may act when basing on moral obligations. Talking about gender ethics, the moral responsibilities include gender equality in education, economic, and marital fields. Therefore Deontologists supports gender equality within the society because gender equality is a moral obligation. When all women make use of this theory on their rights, then there would be no complaining from anyone concerning women having the same right as men. Also, there would be no many women pushing it down everyone’s throat. Since they will discern that they have their rights just the same as men’s right to everything. Also, women will have nothing less and nothing more to aim for while seeking for their right. This theory enables the society to become consistency in the behavior by doing the right thing.
By applying utilitarianism theory, many things need to be considered. It may include the figure of the affected people, what will satisfy them, and even whether the effect will be either ethical or not. These are simply part of some things that need to be considered. Utilitarianism is a moral theory which states that the perfect course of action is that one which includes the highest quantity of happiness found in any provided situation. Therefore the utilitarianism theory together with women’s equality creates a high number as well make women happy since they receive the same treatment just like that of men. Utilitarianism is a theory that is democratic because it depends on the results which take effect only for the majority. On the other hand, it is possible to conclude that according to the act utilitarianism, gender equality is considered morally wrong hence there is a need to get rid of it. This can only apply if the people against women equality becomes the majority in the act.
