Purpose of the Course:
The purpose of this course is to explore and determine various methods of data collection and how they can be applied in collecting data.
Summary of Analyses
Needs analysis and problem analysis:
There is the need for the learners to understand the methods of data collection and use them in determining various ways in which data should be collected to avoid making mistakes in research.
Audience analysis:
The learners have the urge to determine the methods of data collection, and therefore, they should be able to know the different methods of data collection and apply them in their studies and real life (Dalto, 2014).
Job and task analysis:
The learners should be in a position to recall all the six methods of data collection define them and give suitable examples. They should also be in a position to use them in collecting data that pertains to their learning process.
The scope of the Course
The scope of this course is to enable the group of learners determine, transcribe and apply the methods of data collection to obtain data in various learning research.
Task Learning Objectives
Objective 1: After completing the training, the learner will be able to recall six methods of data collection without consulting each other in less than ten minutes after the lesson (Dalto, 2014).
Objective 2: After completing the training, the learner will be able to differentiate the different methods of data collection using three suitable examples for each method in not less than three pages (as cited in Dalto, 2014).

Objective 3: After completing the training, the learner will be able to transcribe the methods of data collection at 70 lines per hour with no more than one error per 550 lines.
