Academic literacy in successful higher education

 University students are difficult to understand and production of academic texts due to lack of academic literacy, due to the little habit of reading and writing daily, which has been carrying from an early age and as there is no relevant accompaniment ofa really trained teacher in the area and a rigorous demand on the subject;We will detail the most relevant points of this topic below:

Methodological reading and writing strategies are not applied by affecting the process of students’ metacognition. As we know, metacognition allows us. , meaningful learning occurs when the person who learns relates new knowledge to the body of knowledge that he already has, that is, with his own cognitive structure.

Students present little mastery of cognitive and goal strategies of understanding and production of academic texts that are the conscious actions that the reader executes to ensure the effectiveness of information processing contained in the text.

These are the abilities that human beings have to have an awareness of the knowledge we have and the knowledge that we can always have to have a control of them

Students do not like the reading and writing of academic texts, so their learning process is delayed

As we know reading and writing, it is a process that walks hand in hand and having a taste for these activities will lead them to a student failure for the reason that we could not understand the knowledge that wants to be taught by teachers, because theseActivities allow us to reason and carry out the activities required by a class teacher who in higher education is the writing of an academic text.
