Managerial issues are prevalent when it comes to healthcare. However, the mitigation of the administrative challenges is facilitated by the healthcare department together with the insurance industry, the finance industry, and the government. The insurance industry ensures that patients of low income can easily access care while finance industry ensures patients who need emergency services can obtain credit.
On the other hand, the federal government’s role is regulation to ensure the minimum requirements in healthcare are met and that more people can access care. Similarly, the federal government regulates the framework for the training of health workers. According to Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne (2018) state government is responsible for offering educational support to the internal healthcare leadership.
Over the past years, there have been numerous changes in the way which healthcare sector in the U.S. is funded. Currently, the U.S. healthcare system is not only advanced but also one of the most expensive in the world. In the case study, the healthcare funding is from the federal government and based on public insurance. Schreck (2018) explains that in the US, public insurance is the primary source of healthcare funding and is mostly done at the federal level. According to the author, the insurance funding the sector is supported by both private and public insurance programs. However, the public insurance program is the most common contributing almost 50% of the total spending while private insurance only accounts for about 30%.

The projected argument resonates with the analysis conducted by Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne (2018) who found that in 2015, the US federal government spent $980 billion to address healthcare, of which, $353 billion was allocated to Medicaid, and $527 billion was allocated to Medicare insurance program. The value is considerably higher than that of $605 billion spent by the state governments during the same period (Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne, 2018).
