Healthcare is an industry with a wide range of data from different aspects of patient care. The healthcare industry in the world of today is characterized by high demands. The needs for healthcare have gone up, and decisions have to be made based the evaluation of much information about patient care. A good example of data is patient-reported outcomes which are usually a very important component that can be used for the evaluation and assessment of the quality of services provided to patients in a healthcare institution. A patient reported outcome is data based on patient experience. It is data that is a clear reflection of the quality of service provided by healthcare professionals. What this report has a lot of negative reports from patients then it means that the quality of care is poor. Patient-reported outcomes are important because it measures the quality of service received by a patient. It is data that can be used to improve the quality of service provided within a healthcare institution and may ultimately provide information that can be used to increase the well-being of patients (Leidy, Rentz, & Zyczynski, 1999).
Improvement in quality needs to a regular factor in any organization. However, conducting such regular improvements requires adequate information about specific points of the organization to improve, and this is where data comes in. The quality of care especially based on the perspective of the user has become a very common way of evaluating and assessing the performance of health care.

However, it is based on the collection of data from patients which is the assessed and deductions made to facilitate change. The quality improvement, therefore, means that various factors will have to change (Mackler, Petersen, Severson, Blayney, Benitez, Early, & Griggs, 2017).
