Irregular Periods
Menstrual cycle occurs in female gender who has reached puberty stage. The cycle starts from day one of the menstruation, and it continues up to a day before the next menstruation. There are some variations that occur during the menstrual periods from one month to another. For instance, the color of blood loss may change from light to heavy or from bright to dark (“Irregular periods”, 2017). Some other variations that occur are the more often or, the less often at which the period comes. And also the rate of bleeding can either be more or less than the normal standard.
The absence of the period is a clear indication that an ovum was not released from the ovary. This absence is also known as amenorrhoea. The main causes of absence of the period can be as a result of pregnancy or even when breastfeeding, if the lady has not reached puberty stage or if the lady has reached menopause. Other factors that make the period to stop or become less frequent are due to excess exercise being done by the lady. And also if the lady is underweight, she might have a varied period. In cases where the female is stressed most of the times, she might end up skipping some of her periods since the stress might hinder the release of some hormones that are responsible for ovulation (“Irregular periods”, 2017). Some ladies also have a hormonal imbalance, and therefore, the hormones get release irregularly resulting in the irregular periods.
