I learnt that the course is about leadership as well as skills which are affiliated with influence. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) program aims to motivate the trainees to commit and dedicate their energies as well as expertise in reaching the goals of the program. Indeed, the emergency system is a crucial and necessary aspect of all emergency responder, manager or, strategist and planner. I learnt various lessons such as best wats to build and develop trust, strategies which can be employed to bring about change, the best way to use personal influence to foster positive pollical change, and even how to create a conduce environment that encourages leadership development (FEMA, 2018). Also, I learnt that all emergency management professionals should have leadership as well as influence knowledge and should be equipped with skills which enable them to lead a group of people. They should effectively lead a group of people in teams, departments, associations and even organisations and help them attain their set goals. While leading, they should professionally coordinate, direct and motivate the subordinates while conducting the various operations.
Since the primary audience of emergency management professionals involves all disaster or crisis victims, these people are required to be fast in decision making. They are supposed to be analytical since emergency needs swiftness and accuracy. As such, these people are supposed to be quick in blending in new environments and interacting with the people in the community effectively (FEMA, 2018).

The professionals should also be creative to be able to create calculated strategies which without a doubt will be able to help and elevate the conditions of the victims of a given crisis. As such, the course helps teach and therefore enlighten about the importance of leadership during a crisis and all forms of emergencies.
