Developing
Giddens points around modernity that ‘refers to the modes of social or organization that emerged in Europe around the S. XVII onwards and that later became more or less universal in their influence ’. For its part, the French sociologist J. Baudrillard understands modernity ‘a form of characteristic civilization, which opposes tradition, that is, all other previous or traditional cultures; Faced with the geographical and symbolic diversity of these, modernity is imposed as a homogeneity, irradiated worldwide from the West … that globally connotes a whole historical evolution and a change of mentality. (Garrido, 2003, p. 4)
We find in this way that modernization is nothing other than the expansive ethnocentrism of Western society, which cemerges in the same way of modernity that arose from "evangelization" and "civilization". Modernity motor is an expansion that occurs throughout the planet Earth, a world in which technology and globalization related, since they need each other to grow and improve.
Wait! Modernity And Paradigms Changes In That Model paper is just an example!
They are action models for the search for knowledge.
Modernity forms a slow, but unappealable process of deacralization or secularization. In the first place, a constant and increasingly complex separation of spheres or areas within culture and society begins to produce. The most important of these is the one between the order of the religious-eclesiastic and that of the profane-world. In other words, one of the founding differentiations of the modern is what is given (from an institutional point of view) between the Church and the State and (from a cultural perspective) between religion and science. Second, modernity understood as a secularization process alludes to a deep and essential turn of thought: the one that goes from medieval theocentrism (concerned with the sacred) to the centrality of practical-world problems (that is, ‘secular’). (Sociology page, 2017)
Reference is made to a theological revolution, to the mundane and from the sanctified to the profane. However, various questions are formed such as how to characterize that lake and incessant secularization process that reaches somehow to this day?, What are the characteristics of the modern? The property of modernity is provided by the ideal of full rationality.
