DownloadWhy A 40-Minute Timed Essay is Not a Realistic Example of Writing Ability.
Good writing ability is an important aspect of communication. This is because it allows the writer to communicate through to their audience with ease and clarity. Most people define writing skills as just the basics of being able to come up with sentences and form paragraphs using correct grammar, punctuations, and spelling. However, there is a lot of effort that should be put into writing in order to build and improve on ones writing skills that cannot happen within a 40-minute timed essay.
It is imperative first to understand how topics need to be introduced, developed in the body and then finally concluded using paragraphs. However, in order to accomplish this, it requires more practice than timed essays of 40 minutes. The flow in your paragraphs should show a smooth connection which is only possible if one understands the art of storytelling. With enough practice, an ambitious writer will make every effort necessary in order to come up with better works. This includes studying the rules applied in grammar, punctuation, increasing your vocabulary knowledge and spelling. All these help an individual to learn and hone their abilities in storytelling and literary devices, and they cannot be achieved in a 40-minute timed window.
Logically, 40 minutes of timed writing is not enough to claim that one has a writing ability. There is a lot of practice that is required before this actual writing in order to better understand the genres you should write about as well as how to impress your target audience with your word choices.
Wait! Realistic Example of Writing Ability paper is just an example!
The basics of writing alone are not enough to make one qualify as a gifted writer since they are very easy to replicate in a 40 minute timed essay without necessarily communicating with the audience.
