Steve Job’s ten rules for success
The following are Steve Job’s ten rules for success. One is that people’s lives should not be limited. Time is limited, and therefore, one should not be occupied by living other people’s lives. It is essential that no one should let disapproval of opinions that people make demoralize their ability. However, should have the courage and strength to believe in them, follow their hearts and intuitions. Two, to be successful, one must have passion in whatever one does. This will help in overcoming frustrations and staying focused. The passion will drive one to love one’s work. Three is to design for oneself. This means that you plan your time well and not let people take control of your objectives. Next, Steve says that one should not sell inferior goods or services. Instead, market only the high-quality goods and services that attract loyal customers who are enthusiastic and able to buy the products. He also explains that creating a great team will shape your future. If a person or business is surrounded with smart and positive individuals that share their vision and mission, then they will be motivated and do the right things for a better future. He further says that “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, so choose wisely.” Six is that one should not do it for money rather make a difference and change the world. This means that people must be innovative. Seven is that one should be proud of his or her products or services.

Products that people are happy to use. Be unique and make the best quality. Eight is that one should build around customers. To gain a client’s trust is not easy and a person or organization needs to be serious about what they sell to the customers. They should learn to understand and spend more time to learn the demands of the clients, the market, and challenges. Afterward, create a product or services that satisfy their needs. Next is that one must make the customers understand their brand. A good marketing strategy may help in this case. The customers must have a clear understanding of the brand, and the business must strive to satisfy their needs and retain them. Finally, Jobs recommends that one should always stay hungry; stay foolish. That satisfaction is an enemy of success, and people must push themselves to keep trying on the impossible things.
The rule I liked best is, design yourself. I think for me to change for something better, I need to plan myself in that it is my responsibility to do the things that I have always wished to do because time is limited. I should design myself by making viable decisions to make a difference in whatever I do. I should not let other people dictate my life objectives. As Jobs puts it, “you are the captain of your ship and do not allow other people to take the wheel.”
Implementing this rule in my life can be doneby embracing my skills and finding what I am passionate about and do it to my capacity. Choosing my career path is something crucial. I feel that I should take the responsibility of determining my career. This will help increase my chances of future success, as I will push myself to be the best in my field.
I will start by designing my objectives and drafting the list of things that I must change to help me choose a passionate career. I will do more research on my career, ask my tutors and mentors about the decisions I intend to make so that I can have enough information regarding this career I have chosen.
