Why I Should Be Hired
From my understanding of the correctional officer position, the job entails working with inmates in detention centers. To perform this job effectively, an officer must possess interpersonal skills that are instrumental in maintaining safety and keeping order (Udechukwu 82). I consider myself as the most suitable candidate for this position because I possess all these interpersonal skills. For a correctional officer, speaking and listening skills are of utmost importance since they act as the channels through which communication flows from and to the inmates. I have excellent communication skills that make me a suitable candidate for this position. Negotiation skill is another interpersonal skill that is critical for a correctional officer to effectively perform her duty. I believe that I am the best-suited candidate for this position because of my outstanding negotiation skills. These skills will help me in establishing a good rapport with the prisoners and consequently attain high standards of compliance and safety.
In addition to possessing the critical interpersonal skills for a correctional officer, I also love dealing with problems. From the time when I was a child, I lived with my grandparents. As a result, I always had to deal with most of the problems in the household. From there, I learnt to approach problems objectively and I find pleasure in solving problems. I believe the position entails numerous challenges that I will have to solve daily and consequently earn my fulfilment whenever I find solutions.

Wait! State why I should work as a correctional officer paper is just an example!

Additionally, I am a workaholic and I can handle the loads of work that the position of a correctional officer would come with. Lastly, the correctional officer position will provide me with my life time dream- to grow emotionally.
