The 9/11 attacks have for long been recognized as most tactical attacks that happened due to the failure of strategic intelligence. These attacks can be analyzed to determine the effect, influence or lack of impact that happens if intelligence report is released to the public. I presume that sharing of intelligence report or news would play a vital role in making the decision that would prevent these attacks.
In the year 1983, terrorist conducted an attack which targeted the armed forces. The incidence was named Beirut barracks bombings which happened in the United States and French armed forces. The attack claimed hundreds of individual lives. The incidence of attack aimed to accelerate the act of withdrawing the international peacekeeper force from Lebanon.
In the year 2001 September, several attacks took place on a series of airplanes in the United States. The attacks were coordinated by the terrorist group through hiring hijackers to propel suicide mission on the United States soils. The attacks which targeted the cities of New York and Washington led to massive deaths and destruction. The occurrence of the attacks triggered enormous effort by the United States government through the security agents to combat terrorism. That day, two of the hijacked American commercial airplanes were directed by the Islamist terrorist to crash on the twin towers of the World Trade Centre. The occurrence of the airplanes crash happened in a planned manner one after other.

Terrorism has evolved currently. Small attacks happening over the world are harder to stop and are the most dangerous and terrifying. Beirut attack and attack on the American airplanes serve as bases for decision making towards curbing terrorism. Anyone who can carry any weapon is a threat. Additionally, a shopping mall, Movie Theater, luxury houses among many others are potential targets for attacks. Hence, by comparing the two attacks, important protection measures would be put in place to ensure every place is safe and free from terrorist. More so, terrorist activities can be detected before their happening and be stopped.
