To Heck with Them!
Quiz 1
When talking about turnover rate, it means the level of percentage representing the employees who leave employment for a particular period. Thus, for the painting department at Hall to experience a turnover rate of 200 percent, it represents the number of employees who leave the department per year as when compared to average employee headcount (To Heck with Them, para1). That means that when a certain number is employed, those who leave the company are twice the initial number recruited by the company.
Quiz 2
According to my view about the exit interview carried out by Isabelle with the departing painters, I do not believe if that interview was accurate. I think so because Isabelle never got any correct or specific answer as to why the painting department was experiencing a high turnover rate. Instead, the departing employees gave her different reasons which could not help her exactly figure out why they were leaving. If anything, they only showed her some signs that all was not correct. The decision by the employees not to have the definite answer could get Isabelle to know that there was more hidden story than what meets the eye of the current problem the company was facing.
Quiz 3
I believe the cause of the turnover problem, especially in the Painting department, lies with the management of the department. The painting supervisor appears to be dominant over the employees and seems like those working under him have the option of doing what he wants or go away (To Heck with Them, para2).
Wait! To Heck with Them! paper is just an example!
The supervisor seems not to care about the young employees leaving as he already has a pre-conceived mind about them that they work for enough money and leave. He feels that no need to hold them as the old employees will work out.
