“What My High School should do to Better Serve the Student Body and Why?”
Studies have consistently shown that teachers significantly influence the academic performance of students. Even though families, policy-makers, and the community affect school activities, the most influential factor in any school is teachers. Effective teaching improves performance of students and the whole school. As a result, high schools can better serve the student body by improving the quality of teaching to enhance the academic performance.
Even though my school is excellent and well diverse, the teaching methods employed by teachers in the school are not sufficient. Teachers in my high school do not actively engage students in the classrooms, calling for the improvement of their teaching methods. Teachers should not just focus on giving the assignments, but they should properly manage the class by organizing students. Consequently, they should manage both curriculum and co-curriculum activities aimed at improving the performance of learners. At the same time, teachers should make students active and attentive in classrooms by asking relevant questions based on the concepts they have been taught.
I also believe that my high school can better serve the student body by evaluating teachers. Teachers in the school should be held accountable for their work and how they impact the lives of students. The evaluation process will help in the identification of strengths and weaknesses of teachers, making them more effective in meeting the specific needs of students (Skedsmo and Huber 2).

The school should ensure that teachers provide quality teaching. The teaching methods used by teachers should be practical and specific. I believe that my school is good and it can serve the student better if it makes further improvements.
